Even though they have been yielding great results, I decided I needed a break from working with mesquite seed pods. So I turned towards this desert marigold I collected on one of my many walks on the grounds of Miraval. When I found it, it had been dried by the intense sun, and bleached of nearly all its color, providing just a hint of its former self. A beautiful plant.

This is from my Miraval Collection — art inspired by the plants and gardens and plants I found during my artist residency at the Miraval Arizona Resort.
