Though, I suppose it's the same across mediums. I'm often lukewarm after seeing a show. But, that being said, have you entered? Or are you still just watching from the sidelines? Go ahead and enter. Several years ago, I entered a juried competition that my painting professor suggested entering. I included 2 figurative portraits that I loved and just on a whim, I entered a floral watercolor sketch. Guess which one was published?? The floral watercolor sketch. My professor didn't get selected either. You just never know what the jurors are looking for and if you're chosen the publicity isn't bad either. Gee, that’s the million $ dilemma isn’t it??
